The day the upset died

Two things. One Friday night football should be reserved for Texas high school football. Two, ESPN should be banned from broadcasting PAC 12 sports. I swear they were pulling for the upset. That said, in my honest opinion, the Ducks deserved to lose but found a way to win , unbelievable but a loud shoutout Travis Dye for basically carrying the team Friday night. Sure it is a W but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Oregon drop in the polls after this game.

After a hard fought game with several ties the Ducks finally took the lead by a TD and it was all left up to a goal line stand. Defense seals the deal with a fourth-down stop at the two-yard line with :02 on the clock. When the clock showed :02 Anthony took a shotgun snap on offense and I thought I’d lose it. He downed it in the field of play with zeros on the clock and I finally could breathe a breath of relief as the final read Ducks 24 – Cal 17.

No style points, no great victory worthy of a top 10 team after all, a 4-1 team beat a 1-4 team BY 7 POINTS, BARELY. No it was just a win and just a win is all you look for in every game of football you play.
