THE ROOM SERIES: TE ROOM 2026

The 2026 Oregon Ducks tight end room is considered highly talented yet transition-focused, anchored by returning TE1 Jamari Johnson following the departure of Kenyon Sadiq. Johnson, a rising 2027 NFL Draft prospect, is supported by high-profile talent including Penn State transfer Andrew Olesh and incoming five-star freshman Kendre Harrison

Key Personnel (2026 Season):

  • Jamari Johnson (Jr./RS-So.): Assumes the lead role after a breakout 2025 season where he recorded 32 catches for 510 yards and three touchdowns. He is expected to be a top NFL prospect, offering a blend of receiving ability and size.
  • Andrew Olesh (Transfer/RS-Fr.): Added to bolster the room, bringing high potential and a similar, versatile athletic profile to the room.
  • Kendre Harrison (Fr.): A 6’7″, 243-lb five-star recruit, expected to compete for immediate playing time.
  • Markus Dixon (Transfer/Jr.): Provides further depth, having transferred from Clemson.

Key Notes & Outlook:

  • Development & Depth: While the top-end talent is strong, the room faces questions regarding depth behind the primary rotation, with limited proven experience behind Johnson.
  • Offensive Usage: Oregon, under coach Dan Lanning, is expected to continue utilizing multiple tight end sets (12 or 13 personnel) to utilize the depth of skill available.
  • Red Zone Threat: Johnson is noted for his strong hands and catch radius in the red zone.
  • Coaching: The position group has seen significant development under the staff’s offensive focus.

The 2026 tight end group is expected to be a core component of a high-powered offense, with Johnson aiming to solidify his status as a premier national talent.

Predicted Rotation:

Jamari Johnson (JR.) / Andrew Olesh (r-FR.) OR Kendre Harrison (FR.)
