Honestly the 4 team playoff makes my head spin with the many permutations that could happen with the Iron bowl and SEC playoffs around the corner. As I see it, there are 3 locks. Undefeated Clemson who has nothing standing in their way (that’s 1) Big 10 Champion (Ohio State or Minnesota will slug it out for that{GO GOPHERS}…uh, no such luck, Ohio State) and SEC Champion, which covers the 2nd and third teams. One left. After that it gets murky. and is dependent on what happens in the iron bowl, SEC championship and the end of the season. Here’s what I do know. THERE WILL BE NO 2 LOSS TEAM IN THE NATIONAL PLAYOFF SERIES (Georgia, don’t lose to LSU in the ship-If Georgia wins, the top 4 stays the same as far as we’re concerned). So Oregon has to win out, first and foremost. We also have to see a bit of a backslide within the top 5 teams. Right now, as it sits, Oregon is out, hell, Alabama is out but ahead of us and will stay there if they win out even with their powderpuff schedule. There are impressive teams from both the Big 12 and SEC with 1 loss. WIN OUT OREGON is the only thing controllable. What happens elsewhere is up to the football gods.
