Covid-19 a difference of opinions

This is five months from the start of the season. I’m writing this in early April. I am looking at comments from coaches at this snapshot in time and it kinda shocks me. It’s reflective of stupidity county-wide opinion. First let’s look at the quote from Dabo Sweeny, Coach out at Clemson.

“zero doubt that we’re going to be playing and the stands are going to be packed”

Holy crap…are you kidding me Somebody get a dictionary and flip to the p’s…to pandemic for Mr. Sweeny. Now let’s take a look at the more pragmatic coach C said. Mario Crisobal, at the very least, has doubts and preparedness in his comments.

“We are planning for whatever this may bring. We’re very optimistic. We feel that the measures taken by the governor and the rest of the country, as long as everybody continues, to stay safe and do things like they’re supposed to, that there’s going to be a point in time I think it would be a more appropriate time to bring a more specific answer as opposed to giving you 25 different scenarios.”

So, I ask you. blind uninformed faith or thought out reasonable opinion. The season’s a long way off but Coach C seems to be well grounded in future possibilities as Oregon coaches prepare, watch film, and recruitwhile the players make do with whatever workout equipment they have at their disposal at home. They are urged to stay home and stay in shate according to Cristobal who went on to say:

“They know this thing is voluntary to be great coming coming out of this thing. We feel that they’re doing a a really good job attending to all their obligations and their takes at hand while at the same time being very mindful and respectful of the things that need to be followed in order to insure we continue to curve this thing and come out with success on the other side”

Short term or long term, our Ducks will be prepared for any contingency from extended season due to a move back, Shortened season or no season…whatever, Time and the bug will dictate all. Not the optimism of coaches.
